ATTEMPTED DWELLING HOUSE BURGLARIES

WITHAM Dorothy Sayers Drive

Saturday 22nd October between 17:00hrs and 22:45hrs.
Suspect unknown smashed the light sensor over the front door exposing live wire. Suspect then used a metal instrument to force entry to the victim’s house causing damage to the plastic around the door lock exposes a metal plate backing the plastic. No entry gained.
BRAINTREE London Road
Tuesday 25th October between 17:40hrs and 17:45hrs.
Suspect unknown attempted to gain entry to rear door of victim’s house. There were obvious tool marks on the door and frame but no entry gained. Victim heard some noise whilst in the bath assuming it was his flat mate , he called out and did not have a reply.
BOCKING
Tabor Avenue (1)
Between Sunday 9th October and Sunday 16th October.
Suspect unknown broke the lock on victim’s front door but no entry gained.
Tabor Avenue (2)
Tuesday 25th October between 19:30hrs and 20:30hrs.
Suspect unknown used two bricks to smash the glass in the door in order to gain entry but none made and nothing stolen.
Suspect then went to the garden and gained entry to three sheds and property removed but no stolen , and suspect left.
Willingale Road
Friday 28th October between 10:00hrs and 10:15hrs.
Suspects unidentified possibly entered the victim’s garden by jumping over the secure side gate. They then tried to jemmy open the rear window to the victim’s kitchen. During this point they were seen by victim’s step son and suspect ran off.


DWELLING HOUSE BURGLARIES.
BRAINTREE
East Street
Between Tuesday 25th October 17:00hrs and Wednesday 26th October 08:55hrs
Suspect unknown smashed a double glazed glass door to gain entry –unknown items taken.
Progress Court
Between Friday 21st October 23:00hrs and Saturday 22nd October .
Suspect unknown entered a secure building then forced open the secure front wooden door and smashed the lock out of the door and once inside stole items.
Tanners Meadow
Sunday 23rd October between 11:00hrs and 19:45hrs.
Suspect unknown forced open the back door’s three bolts. Once inside they stole sleeping tablets and drank a bottle of Amaretto
GREAT YELDHAM Leather Lane
Between Friday 21st October 23:00hrs and Saturday 22nd October.
Suspect unknown gained entry to premises by opening the rear door-items removed.


ATTEMPTED THEFT OF LEAD
WITHAM Maltings Lane
Tuesday 25th October 02:45hrs.

Suspect unknown cut and rolled back lead flashing from victim’s window in an attempt to steal it.
Suspects unknown attempted to remove lead from the victim’s ground floor front window The victim disturbed them and they ran off

THEFT OF MOTOR CYCLE
BOCKING Sandwich Close
Between Sunday 23rd October 22:00hrs and Monday 24th October 07:20hrs.
Suspect unknown removed an INSECURE blue Honda WW125-D from a rear garden.




ATTEMPTED THEFT FROM PERSON
BRAINTREE Station Approach
Monday 24th October between 12:40hrs and 12:45hrs.
Suspect unidentified had been riding a blue Yamaha R125 motor bike and was seen walking towards the victim , as the suspect past the victim , he attempted to grab the victim’s bag and pulled it away from the victim who then managed to pull back the bag .The suspect got on his motor bike and rode away.


THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE
BRAINTREE Manor Street
Friday 28th October 15:10hrs.

Suspect unidentified removed victim’s red Peugeot 208 from the garage after repairs had been completed .The keys were left inside the vehicle


THEFT FROM CHURCH
WITHAM Guithavon Street
Between Wednesday 23rd October 09:00hrs and Friday 25th October 08:30hrs.

Suspect unknown climbed on to a Church roof and pulled up all the lead causing damage Suspect also stole the lead flashing.


THEFTS OF MOUNTAIN BIKES

In the past week there have been three occasions where Mountain Bikes have been taken in Braintree (Tofts Walk,) Witham (Guithavon Street and Albert Road).


BURGLARY OF BUSINESS PREMISES
BRAINTREE Bank Street
Between Thursday 24th October 18:00hrs and Friday 25th October 08:00hrs.
Suspect unidentified gained entry to a building by smashing the front door .Once inside the till was opened with the key that had been left on top and £50 was taken.



UNIT BURGLARY
HEDINGHAM Queen Street
Between Tuesday 22nd October 17:30hrs and Wednesday 23rd October 11:30hrs.
Suspect unknown forced entry into victim’s unit

DAMAGE TO MOTOR VEHICLE
PEBMARSH
Thursday 24th October between 17:50hrs and 18:20hrs.

Suspect unknown caused damage to white Volkswagen Caddy Pickup truck by smashing off the offside door mirror and also bending back both sets of windscreen wipers.
